Catholic wedding is different from any typical wedding. It is more of a sacred and formal affair rather than just a celebration. So, the bride and groom need to be dressed in the right manner keeping the etiquette of modest dressing in mind. However, it doesn’t mean that you need to be covered from head to toe. And if wearing skirt, the bride must ensure that its length is long enough to feel comfortable while sitting or bending.
Second Time Brides – Women getting married for second time should go for either white gowns or dresses in sober shades such as ivory or Champaign green color. The soberness of the gown reflects the sign of pureness in the bride.
Groom’s Attire – In case of catholic wedding, traditional suits are acceptable for the groom. The variety may include morning suits, tuxedos and suits in different colors. Clothing such as khakis and jeans must be avoided at the wedding. If there is certain color scheme to be followed at the wedding, the groom may incorporate it in accessories, such as colored ties or waistcoat etc.
The real meaning of Catholic Wedding is nothing but to celebrate a religious union. Therefore the couple should avoid making their attire impart fashion statements rather should dress modestly.
